Frequently Asked Questions

We've heard every dirty question in the book. Here are the clean answers.

General Service Questions

Where do you provide service?

Our primary service area covers From Blue Springs to Overland Park, Lee’s Summit to the Northland. For large-scale events or emergency response, we’ve coordinated deployments across multiple states. Not sure if we serve your area? Give us a call and we’ll figure it out.

When you call, we’ll tell you exactly when we can get there—and then we show up when we say we will. Timelines vary based on your location, equipment type, and current availability. Give us a call and we’ll give you a straight answer.

Yes. Events and job sites don’t always run on a 9-to-5 schedule, and neither do we. We coordinate delivery and pickup timing around your specific needs—whether that’s early Saturday morning or late Sunday afternoon.

For construction site rentals, standard service is once per week. For events, we service units before delivery and can schedule additional service visits during multi-day events. Need more frequent service? Just ask—we’ll build a schedule that works for your project.

Call us as soon as you know. We’ll do everything we can to adjust—adding units, reducing quantities, changing service frequency, or extending your rental period. The earlier you let us know, the better, but we’re used to working with last-minute changes.

Pricing depends on equipment type, quantity, rental duration, service frequency, and location. Call or submit a request and we’ll provide a clear, itemized quote. We serve From Blue Springs to Overland Park, Lee’s Summit to the Northland.

Events & Festivals

How many portable toilets do I need for my event?

It depends on your guest count, event duration, and whether you’re serving alcohol. As a general guideline, PSAI recommends 1 unit per 50 guests for a 4-hour event without alcohol, and 1 unit per 35 guests with alcohol. Use our planning calculator for a customized recommendation—or give us a call and we’ll walk you through it.

If aesthetics matter to your guests—weddings, corporate galas, VIP areas, upscale festivals—a luxury trailer is worth the upgrade. They offer climate-controlled interiors, running water, and upscale finishes that standard units can’t match. For high-volume general admission areas, standard units are the practical choice. Many events use both.

Call us as soon as you know. We’ll do everything we can to add or reduce units based on your updated needs. Event planners often underestimate attendance—we’d rather get a last-minute call than have your guests dealing with long lines.

Yes—delivery, placement, and pickup are all included. We coordinate timing around your event schedule, venue access requirements, and any permit deadlines. You focus on your event. We handle the rest.

For events open to the general public, ADA-compliant restrooms are generally required. We’ll help you determine how many accessible units you need based on your total unit count and ensure proper placement. When in doubt, call us—we’d rather help you get it right than leave you exposed to compliance gaps.

Construction & Job Sites

What are the OSHA requirements for portable toilets on construction sites?

OSHA requires one toilet per 20 workers for job sites without running water. For sites with 20 or fewer employees and mobile work that keeps workers more than 5 minutes from facilities, there are additional provisions. We’ll help you stay compliant without making it complicated—right equipment, right quantity, serviced on schedule.

Standard construction site service is once per week. We’ll deliver clean, fully stocked units and return on your scheduled service day. Need more frequent service for a large crew? We’ll build a schedule that works for your project.

Absolutely. Whether your project runs three weeks or three years, we’ll set up a service schedule that works for your timeline and adjust as your needs change. No complicated contracts—just reliable service for as long as you need it.

Yes—and that’s exactly why contractors love working with us. We’re a single source for portable toilets, temporary heaters, boom trucks, and water management systems. One call, one vendor, one less thing to manage on your job site.

Products & Equipment

What's the difference between a standard, low boy, and high rise unit?

Great question. Standard units are your everyday portable toilet—works for most job sites and events. Low boy units (also called half porta potties) are shorter and more compact, designed for tight spaces like freight elevators, parking garages, and areas with low overhead clearance. High rise units are built to be hoisted by crane to upper floors of buildings under construction. Not sure which one you need? Check our [product comparison chart] or give us a call.

Yes. Our ADA restrooms feature ground-level entry, grab bars, comfort-height seating, spacious interiors for wheelchair access, and proper signage. Some units also include baby changing stations. We’ll help you determine how many accessible units you need for your event or job site.

Hand washing stations are self-contained units with a foot-operated pump, soap dispenser, paper towels, and 45-gallon fresh and waste water tanks—ideal for food service areas and high-use restroom zones. Hand sanitation stations are freestanding sanitizer dispensers—faster and more portable, great for entrances and high-traffic areas. Many events use both for complete hygiene coverage.

Call our emergency line directly at 816.229.4468. We maintain equipment and crew availability for rapid response to infrastructure failures, natural disasters, and other emergency situations. Don’t wait—call us and we’ll assess your needs immediately.
